Closed Minds at the Creation Museum

Doug

Read about Russell Moore’s trip to the controversial new creation museum here.  Below is his prayer for the protestors:

I don’t pray, first of all, that they will be convinced by scientific arguments, whether those of young-earth creationists or Intelligent Design theorists. I pray that the Darwinist protesters become like the little children they see before them, with their snow cones and dinosaur balloons.

I pray the protesters see not just the truth but the beauty of a world in which scientifically impossible things happen: lions eat straw like an ox, the world is saved in an ark, people come back from the dead, camels pass through needles’ eyes, old men are born again.

You know, I think Darwinist protesters already do believe in scientifically impossible things! Can you demonstrate how something comes from nothing? How life comes from soup? How dolphins come from cows? How men come from apes? Is there ANY verifiable evidence for these things at all? No. Not one shred of evidence or real science going on here.
You are right, the problem is not science, it is a wicked heart that all people need removed by the grace of God in Christ.
The macro-evolutionist has his own religion already. He needs to see his own “science” is religion and he needs to see our love and patience at the same time.

Mark, I always appreciate your passion for the foundation of Genesis in the overall story of the gospel.
